Sold my 1984 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser today.

Had the Craigslist ad running for several weeks. Finally someone in my area showed interest and bought it today. $3,500 cash.

Waaay too cheap, but I really need to get rid of some cars. TXDOT vehicle appraisal has this car with 168,000 miles valued at $6,000.

These old Land Cruisers, when totally restored bring $45,000.. believe it or not!!!

Happy buyer drove it home.

Another hydroponics update coming soon.

Adios

  1. Congratulations!

Do you use a particular webpage to research car values? I would like to sell my 1972 Cutlass but do not know how much to ask for it.

    1. That classic Cutlass value depends on several factors... miles, owner history, condition, rust issues, stored inside or out, engine, interior condition, body ddamage/repair history, etc.
Really have to check the main websites, then nationwide craigslist searches. And compare figures..Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, and Hemmings Motor News.
      IMHO

  3. In Nevada if you own more than 3 vehicles they consider you a dealer. I got my van and the motorhome. The motorhome is going when I get around to it. Hell, I never go anywhere anyway! Take that money and buy some silver! It's cheap right now....:-)

    1. I've been considering getting a stack of Canadian Maple Leafs. Prices sure are down nowadays.
